Echoes Magazine - June 2016

Vybz Kartel and Ziggy Marley are the lead reggae features in this issue. Kartel is currently serving a life sentence for murder in a Kingston maximum security prison. In this fascinating interview – conducted via letter – he discusses his latest album King Of The Dancehall, whilst denying rumours that he’s continued to record new material in prison via phone or the Internet. Ziggy Marley also has a new album out, and there’s an exclusive preview of his brother Stephen Marley’s forthcoming album Revelation Part 2: The Fruit Of Life in my monthly Vibes column.

June’s Reggae Album Of The Month is Everlasting by Raging Fyah. I also review new albums by Bulby, Gappy Ranks, Henry “Junjo” Lawes and Linval Thompson whilst Run The Track includes latest singles by Vybz Kartel, Chronixx, Shaggy, Sizzla & Popcaan, Tifa, Bounty Killer and Pressure Buss Pipe.
