Shaggy is this month's cover star and he's been busy! Echoes Magazine, March 2026

My contributions to this month's Echoes - the second issue of its 50th Anniversary year - include a full length interview with New Zealand reggae band Six60; a list, complete with short descriptions, of 50 key reggae and dancehall albums (one for each of Echoes' half century as a thriving UK music publication) and finally, a fulsome tribute to the late Sly Dunbar, who I was proud to call a friend, and whose passing inspired Mick Jagger to post "The world has lost its rhythm.

Echoes 2025 - November

This month's Echoes' reggae content was written in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Melissa; a Category 5 storm that devastated huge swathes of Jamaica, and left many people homeless and without support. Our sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of all those who died or were badly affected by the worse Caribbean hurricane in living memory, and respect to everyone who contributed to the relief efforts including artists like Shaggy, Sean Paul and Maxi Priest.
