Barrington Levy, Riddim 2014

There's no other reggae singer like Barrington Levy, and that magnificent voice has endured throughout every twist and turn of reggae music's evolution over the years. I remember first meeting him in the early eighties, soon after he'd arrived in the UK. He knew better than anyone that he was a star, and I shall never forget hearing songs like Here I Come, Prison Oval Rock and Vibes Is Right on dub-plate as he became ever more assured. (The lime green suit that he wore when singing Under Mi Sensi on children's TV was pretty memorable too).
