Echoes 2022 - September

In this issue our two main reggae features place On U Sound's Adrian Sherwood and legendary Jamaican master drummer Sly Dunbar under the spotlight. Adrian Sherwood recently produced Horace Andy's Midnight Rocker album and its attendant dub set Midnight Scorchers, whilst Sly tells the story of former Channel One house band the Revolutionaries; the band he reformed for a headlining performance at this year's Rototum Festival in Benicassim.

In Vibes we pay tribute to Israel Vibration's Skelly, who died earlier this month and preview Dennis Morris' latest book Super Perry, a collection of photographs of Lee "Scratch" Perry which were on show in London.

Tanya Stephens' Some Kinda Madness is this month's Reggae Album Of The Month and there are also reviews of new albums by Mikey General and Lion D, as well as choice revival titles. Elsewhere Skeng, Protoje, Mortimer. Alborosie, Samory I & Chi Chi Ching, Kabaka Pyramid & Jemere Morgan and others all feature in our monthly singles round-up, Run The Track.
