Echoes Magazine - December 2021 Issue

This latest issue of Echoes Magazine completes the publication's 45th Anniversary year with our writers' Top 5 Albums in the fields of Soul, Reggae, Jazz, Hip Hop and R & B and the usual mix of all that's best in black music journalism.

My own contributions includes interviews with Micah Shemaiah, talking about his acclaimed new album Still, and also Hawaiian reggae band The Green, currently celebrating their latest Easy Star set Brand New Eyes. Meta and the Cornerstones' Dia heads the list of reggae album reviews whilst Run The Track features singles by Koffee, Barrington Levy, Maxi Priest & Macka B, Queen Ifrica, Nadine Sutherland, Khalia, Jesse Royal, Tarrus Riley and J Written, among others. There's also an in-depth look at reggae runnings in 2021, curiously titled "Less Isn't More" but that hails some very fine music produced in the past twelve months, despite the global pandemic.
