Echoes Magazine - February 2021

I never imagined seeing Echoes - once known as Black Echoes - celebrate its 45th Anniversary but it's still going strong with founder Paul Philips and editor Chris Wells at the helm, and the twin covers proving popular with readers and industry people alike. During my time with them it's been a joy, sharing page space with some very fine writers including Chris and deputy editor Kevin Le Gendre. Thanks guys, for having kept the faith, both in myself and the music we serve.

This first issue of 2021 takes an in-depth look at Buju Banton's classic 'Til Shiloh; there's an interview with dancehall star Agent Sasco talking about his new EP Sasco vs Assassin, whilst the Vibes column has news of Dutch label JahSolidRock's King Of The Dub Rock Vol. 3. There are also reviews of new releases by Kabaka Pyramid, Nattali Rize, Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel, Addis Records and Ghetto Youths International, among others.
