After four decades, the first British reggae band to hit number one in Jamaica is back. In this issue we hail the glorious return of the Cimarons, and also Kenneth Black's Skengdon label, subject of an exciting reissue programme by VP Records.
In our monthly Vibes column I return to an interview I did with Rihanna twenty years ago, and there are four pages of latest reggae album and singles releases. Kabaka Pyramid's Jamaica is our lead single, and Lee "Scratch" Perry's Crucial Cuts From The Heart of The Ark Echoes' Reggae Album of the Month - an accolade keenly contested thanks to new releases by Blackout JA & Peppery, and Hector Roots Lewis.
