This month's lead reggae article gives the spotlight to producer Kareem Burrell, head of Jamaican label XTM Nation. In addition to hit single I Want You co-starring Lila Irie and Ini Kamoze, he celebrates a new, vinyl only compilation of tracks produced by his late father, Philip "Fatis" Burrell, called Xterminator Story. Elsewhere, I interview the legendary Sister Nancy, whose debut album One Two has been reissued by Greensleeves. During our discussion she tells the story of her best known hit Bam Bam, which is one of the all-time dancehall classics. We then bring matters fully up to date with an in-depth account of Kiprich's recent troubles after he was arrested in Jamaica and charged with "using audio and audio-visual communications to promote criminal activity."

Dub Syndicate's Out Here On The Perimeter 1989-1996 is Reggae Album Of The Year, just shading Meta and the Cornerstones' Echoes Of Time, Vybz Kartel's Viking (Vybz Is King) and the Irie Ites' compilation Cream Of The Crop.
