Alborosie, who has a brilliant new album out (For The Culture) and Blvk H3ro are this month's featured reggae artists. The Sicilian born, but Jamaican national Alborosie touches upon some controversial topics in his interview as he talks openly about accusations of cultural appropriation and the discrimination he's faced in reggae's homeland.
Blck H3ro is a guest on UB40's latest album Bigga Baggariddim, a various artists' set reviewed in this issue alongside albums by Jesse Royal, Oregon trio Indubious and new Brighton based record label Global Beats, with the Mafia & Fluxy compilation Reggae Roots & Culture Vol. 1.
Run The Track highlights new singles by Jah9 & Yaadcore, Eesah & Kabaka Pyramid, Gary Pine and Maxi Priest, and there's an in-depth preview of Bob Marley & The Wailers - The Capitol Session '73, a forthcoming film and album containing previously unreleased recordings of the band's riveting performance at the Capitol Record Tower in Hollywood in October 1973, with Peter Tosh on vocals and guitar, and Joe Higgs (who replaced Bunny Wailer) on harmonies and percussion.
