Echoes Magazine - November 2020

The reggae world has lost so many key people this year, and not just from COVID related illnesses. In Vibes this month we pay tribute to two more, namely legendary Jamaican producer Bunny "Striker" Lee and Dalton Browne, whose guitar playing has featured on so many classic reggae recordings over the decades.

Jeremy Harding, of Zim Zimma and early Sean Paul fame talks about his latest project Dancehall Anthems - an album for VP Records that breathes new life into dancehall hits from the 80s and 90s. There's also an interview with the Soothsayers' Robin Hopcraft, telling of their travels to Brazil where the Brixton based reggae/jazz/Afrobeat band worked on tracks from their latest album Love And Unity,

Run The Track has singles by Bounty Killer & Agent Sasco, Duane Stephenson & Romain Virgo, Iamoytaz and Richie Spice, among others, and there are reviews of albums by Sly & Robbie (Red Hills Road), the incomparable Bulby York, UB40 and Japanese saxophonist Megumi Mesaku.
